PDBファイルをJSONファイルに変換するツールpdb2json、の巻

はじめに

タンパク質の構造データベースである、Protein Data Bank（PDB）のPDBファイルを、JSONファイルに変換したいことがありまして。

PDBのサイトからはJSON形式としてはどうやらダウンロードできないので、PDB形式などの構造データファイルをJSON形式に変換する方法を探してたところ、

pdb2json

ていう、どストライクのwebツールをPythonで書いてくれている方がいて、GitHubにありましたのでメモ。

使い方

使い方はなんともシンプル。

All you need is the PDB code of the structure you want. The you just append it to the end of the URL and send a GET request. For example, https://pdb2json.samireland.com/1CBN/ will return the 1CBN structure as a JSON object – all structural information and the most important header annotations.

PDBファイルをJSONファイルに変換したらファイルサイズが10倍くらいになるのね。
